Nature & Recreation Programs

Area residents and outdoor enthusiasts know that the stretch of the Connecticut River between Vernon, Vt., and Turners Falls, Mass., is one of the most scenic, with views of nearby mountains, gorges, fertile farmlands, and even nesting bald eagles. FirstLight Power is proud to be among the organizations who manage the many recreational programs and sites available in the area. Below, the recreational program summary photo features and interactive site map highlight visitor information and many of the key spots that are easily accessible.

As a hotspot for rejuvenation in any season, these sites—from boat ramps to campgrounds, picnic areas to paddling access, and hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails that accommodate winter sports during snow months—are managed by the organizations and agencies whose logos appear below the map.
